Landing page

A landing page is a standalone page built for one campaign and one action (sign up, book, buy) stripped of the distractions a normal website page carries. Traffic arrives from a specific ad or link, and the page has one job.

Why it matters

Sending paid traffic to your homepage is how ad budgets die: the homepage serves everyone, so it converts no one in particular. A focused landing page matching the ad's promise routinely converts several times better: same spend, more customers.

How it works

One message matched to the traffic source, one offer, one call to action repeated; proof (results, testimonials) in between; navigation minimised so the only exits are convert or leave. Message match is the multiplier: the page must continue the sentence the ad started.

What to do about it

Give every distinct campaign its own page, however simple. Reuse a template, swap the message per audience, and test headlines before testing anything cosmetic.
